Add eduPerson and eduOrg schema to LDAP

How to add eduPerson and eduOrg schemas (from educause) to your OpenLDAP.

Applies to CentOS 7+, OpenLDAP 2.4+

Copy the content of the eduperson ldif file from here: http://files.sami.cf/eduperson.ldif

Edit/create eduperson ldif file in the schema directory, and paste the content into it.

vi /etc/openldap/schema/eduperson.ldif

Now add the schema using ldapadd:

ldapadd -Y EXTERNAL -H ldapi:/// -f /etc/openldap/schema/eduperson.ldif

Repeat the same steps for the eduOrg schema.

You can find the ldif file for eduorg here: http://files.sami.cf/eduorg.ldif

Alternatively, you can make your own ldif files from the publicly available eduOrg and eduPerson schemas. A step-by-step guide coming soon inchallah.
